My Last Dying Breath
Hello, all. It’s Jordan Spencer Cunningham. Some of you may know me as your friendly neighborhood treasurer for sophomore year, while others junior year. I daresay some of you know of me as that annoying Danish boy who wouldn’t stop sending emails. Others may have been too caught up in high school to remember me at all. That’s all right. I’ll rule the world one day, so you can get to know me then.
I’d just like to leave my legacy with you through two things.
The first is my beloved treasury database. I designed this database from a template originally made to keep track of business assets and conformed it to WJHS choir department purposes and so that you could receive periodical updates as to your accounts. A lot of work went into that database (not to mention into entering records and sending you updates), so it was with scrutiny that I passed it on to the treasurer for 2009-2010, Mackenzie Kunz. I have talked a lot with her the past week or two and have gotten to know her better, and I would like to assure you all that she is a very capable treasurer and will serve you well. She will most definitely wield my database the way it was meant. I only hope future treasurers will do the same.
The second is this website. I’ve put together this little website for all current and future presidencies as well as Kelly D to use as they deem worthy. It will also be the new hub for downloading music– and guess what’s special about this particular hub that all other hubs in this, the United States of America, never had? You may now download .zip files! If you’re unfamiliar with basic tech terminology, a .zip file is basically a compressed folder that holds many other files at once. Now you can download the music of each choir instead of each song individually. These .zip files will be automatically deleted when they haven’t been downloaded for 60 days, so download them now if you’re going to at all. Individual MP3 files will stay online permanently.
This website is generously hosted for free under Idiosyncratic Protectional Field³’s domain, ipfcubed.com (which is generously hosted for free on osnews.com’s server, which is generously maintained by Jon the spectacular sysadmin). I’ll help with whatever is needed here and maybe even write a post here from time to time (providing I have something worthwhile and related to WJHS to share with you), but I’ll try to stay out of the new generation’s way as much as possible.
**finishes writing this lengthy post and begins to rot away**
(if you haven’t heard the old adage, it goes as so: “[Treasurers] never die; they just rot away.”
